Visigothic Territory

Riba-roja de Turia

Riba-roja de Túria is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of the Visigothic period. The Plà de Nadal, with its residential complex belonging to a Visigothic Dux from the 8th century, attests to this historical significance

The town aims to share this experience with its visitors and organizes the Dux Festival every year, a historical reenactment of the era that includes guided tours, performances, music, a craft market, and gastronomy.

In addition to its history, in the present day, Riba-roja de Túria boasts a industrious population and an attractive natural environment dominated by the final stretch of the Turia River. It is an ideal setting for recreational and sports activities.

It is considered one of the most important enclaves of the Visigothic period.
